BRIBTE students explore the Rwandese tourist endowments

Students of the Department of Hotels and Tourism were delighted to have shared experience with their counterparts while on a tour and also a study trip to Kigali- Rwanda. The trip was one of the official department engagements aimed at enhancing practical training and learning of students undergoing training in Hotel and Tourism Industry. Among other places, the students visited:

  1. Kigali Genocide Museum
  2. Ntarama Genocide Museum
  3. Amahoro Stadium
  4. Nyamirambo Stadium
  5. Butale Cultural and Ethnographic Center,
  6. King’s Palace in the Eastern Province
  7. Gishenyi at Rwanda/Congo Border
  8. A number beaches and hotels
  9. Kigali Convention Center
  10. Kigali City Tour
  11. Murchison falls

According to the Chief organizer, Ms. Ann Nakabuye and also Head of Department, the Trip was very successful and the department intends to organize many more similar tours to other Countries in the region as one of the strategies to expose BRIBTE students to the East African Diversity for competitiveness after school.

Following the resurrection of the East African Community, it is imperative to always train students while focusing on this wider market than before.
