Reunion of Buganda Royal 

Buganda Royal Alumni held their first meeting at the Institute on the 27th July 2018. Since its inception in 1999, the Institute has graduated over 10,000 students who are now placed and working with reputable organisations in both formal and informal sectors.

This meeting was not only bring together the alumni but also to help Management to tap into the practical experiences and expertise of its alumni to continuously develop the Institute.

Mr. Kimuli Robert, the Coordinator of the get together stresses that Buganda Royal has grown a formidable alumni of Abazaana n’abasajja ba Ssaabasajja who can contribute to further development of the Institute if regularly mobilised and involved in Institute matters.

Kimuli also added that it’s a pleasure that the Institute locates and takes advantage of its alumni arguing that the alumni has a lot to offer to both Management and students who are undergoing training

Thank you for being Creative – Omutaka Nsamba

Omutaka Nsamba visited the Buganda Royal Institute students that belong to Ngabi Clan for and thanked them for being creative. Omutaka Lubega Nsamba Magandazi was officiating at the ceremony organised to launch the Buganda Royal Institute Ngabi Students Association which was held on 4th May 2018 at Kakeeka Mengo. The Association brings together the Ngabi students at the Institute to rally behind their Clan head and contribute to the development of the Ngabi Clan in terms of Culture, Projects, Networking and their role in the Kingdom.

Omutaka urged students to move the Association forward and attract many other members who belong to the clan because the Association will be a strong tool for developing the Ngabi Clan and their contribution to the great Buganda Kingdom. Omutaka also implored students to love their mother language instead on focusing on foreign languages. “Knowing the mother language is the initial identity that should not be lost”

Mr Balikuddembe Joseph, the Dean of Students, challenged the Association to adhere to its Constitution if they are to meet the set goals and objectives. The Dean highlighted that the Ngabi Association should be the candle that will light the Ngabi clan, love it and maintain its glory.

Mr. Mulindwa Ivan (Patron) and Mr. Mpuuga Ronald thanked Omutaka Nsamba for having graced the occasion. The duo vowed before the Clan head never to betray their Clan, the Kingdom and the Kabaka. Mr. Sseguya Gilbert, the Managing Director of Curious Funeral Services was among the dignitaries that graced the launch.
